Life is Crazy

Life is super crazy right now and moving sucks. That's whats happening around here. Minus having a wonderful action packed weekend of the 4 F's: family, faith, fun and food! We are in pure chaos and I'm ready for it to be over (but I think it will get worse before it gets better)! I bet you are all jealous!

At least Easter was great. The weather around here was so nice! Claire got to go to her first Easter egg hunt at my mom's school. They had over 20K eggs and Claire was in the 5 and younger section so it was nice and calm which allowed Claire to really get into finding her eggs and putting them in her Easter basket. After the egg hunt, we head to our over to my in-laws to celebrate our nephews 4th birthday. Claire had a blast playing with her cousins.

Easter morning was great. I kinda of forgot that last Easter Claire was only 9 months old. This year the Easter bunny brought her a new water table with a bunch of water toys to go with it. She immediately wanted it filled up with water. She also got a Minnie Mouse basket with a bunch of goodies: coloring books, a football, bracelets and rings, a tiara and magic wand. She was in awe and loved everything. She played with her water table until we had to get dress and head over to my parents house. She wore an adorable lady bug Easter dress. When we got to my parents, she got her Easter gift and then headed outside to do her second Easter egg hunt. This one she actually had to hunt for the eggs. She had SO much fun. Every time she spotted a new egg, she got a big smile and said, "another one". After she found all the eggs, she got to open them up and get all her goodies out. This weekend Claire enjoyed a tootsie roll, jelly bean, chocolate egg and marshmallow for the first time. She enjoyed them all very much!  We had a delicious Easter dinner spread at my parents and then headed over to Eric's parents to celebrate the rest of the night. Claire again got to do another Easter egg hunt with her cousins along with, jumping on beds, building forts, wrestling each other, feeding the fishes and playing with their Easter gifts from grandma and grandpa.

I love the holidays because for us it is all about family! We have an amazing family/support system and are so very thankful for both sets of family. So all in all it was a very busy, non relaxing weekend but hey, that's what the holidays are all about and you know what, we love it!

Once I get the pictures from the last couple months (damn you huge memory card) I will update with all the Easter fun via pictures! Hopefully before the move!

Happy Monday All!

MIA

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. Things are CrAzY over here at my house. We have a little less then two weeks to be out of the house. We are moving in with my Parents-in-law for a couple months to save up some $$. We have to find a storage unit to house 1/2 of our things. It's crazy, plus a few other things are going on that are stirring up the waters (in a good way, no worries). We have another busy weekend ahead of us full of Easter egg hunts, family, birthday parties, food and fun! Gotta love fun filled weekends (although, I feel like they go by way too quickly). Hope everyone as a wonderful rest of the week!

21 Months

21 months. C.C. girl is 21 months old. Where did those months go to? They have been some of the best months of my entire life. She's such a joy to be around and can always put a smile on my face. I feel like she can get me through anything, good and/or bad. She is our world.

She's doing so much right now so I'm not going to tell you everything, seeing as that would take forever but here is a few cool new things she is up to:

  • She can count to 10 (and sometimes you will hear her doing it all by herself).
  • She's really into airplanes (which I feel like she can spot from miles away), trains and school buses.
  • She is talking so much: using two + word phrase/sentences and her number of one-words are endless.
  • She loves playing in water and being outside.
  • She's became so much more independent over the last few days.
  • She loves to give hugs and kisses all the time.
  • She's still in size 18 month clothing (but her summer clothes are 24 month & 2T).
  • She's wearing a size 5 (5 1/2) shoe.
  • She's in size 4 diapers when we use them but still 90% cloth diapers.
  • She knows most of her colors and some shapes.
  • She loves: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Imagination Movers, Choo-Choo Soul, Handy Manny & Sid the Science Kid.
She's just makes our lives better and brighter. She loves her family and her friends. She's a very observant and friendly little girl. Any where she goes, she will wave and say, "hi" to anyone!

Here are some pictures of C.C. girl:

Fun Fact Friday

*Fun Fact Friday*

Here are some interesting facts:

  • Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning.

  • A baby octopus is about the size of a flea at birth.

  • Astronauts get taller when they are in space.

  • Americans eat nearly 100 acres of pizza every day - that's approximately 350 slices per second!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone has a great weekend - it's birthday weekend around here for my hubby. That means we will be adding to fact number 4 for a couple days straight. He could live on pizza alone. Thank goodness we live in Chicago where pizza rocks!

Claire's 1st Concert

Claire got to experience her first "rock" concert at the Rosemont Theater. Disney's, "Imagination Movers with Choo-Choo Soul" were live in concert. We started our day with lunch at the oasis because Claire has a new found love for trucks, buses, trains and airplanes - she enjoyed her lunch very much! Then it was on to the concert. We had a great seats! At first Claire was in shock, very silent and very observant of everything around her. She was checking everything out but as soon as "Choo-Choo Soul" started signing, Claire started dancing up a storm. Eric and I also enjoyed the concert. Seeing as we watching the live concert on Disney Jr at least 3x a day, we know a LOT of their songs. It was a very interactive show, so it got us three out of our seats, clapping and dancing for the majority of the show! After the show Claire got her very first "Movers" t-shirt and actually got to meet the stars from "Choo-Choo Soul". Now when she watches them on TV, she says, "choo-choo cheese" meaning, she got to see and take a picture with them! It's so cute and I'm glad we got to experience it was C.C.. We all truly enjoyed our day!

Enjoy some pictures:
