I Would Be Proud
My Nana, Constance "Connie" Dodd wrote two Christmas books and had them published. Faith, Hope & A Proper Tree: Remembering the Spirit of Christmas and Santa Meets Mr. Dippleman: A Christmas Story. To her, it's no big deal, just something she did. I on the other hand think it's something she should be proud of. I never told too many people but I actually did the illustrations forFaith, Hope & A Proper Tree: Remembering the Spirit of Christmas I was in high school and didn't think much of it at the time. Today, as I sit here thinking about the books, I am proud of what I did. Not many people can say they are a published illustrator, can they. Yes, it's only one book and yes, I didn't make much from it but still, I am proud of myself and more importantly, I am proud of my Nana. She has always loved to write and finally one of her dreams came true.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His love endures forever." Psalms 107:1
