Memorial Day 2010

We had a great 3 day weekend full of friends, family, and great food! Friday Eric got out of work early and surprised Claire and I. We got ready and headed to check out a surrounding town (since we are still unsure where we want to move to). We also went to one of our favorite baby boutique to grab a cloth swim diaper. That was a great find. For only  $13.50 you have a diaper that you can use over and over again. Compared to the disposable swim diapers that cost around $10.00! Yay, for saving money!! We then headed to one of our favorite little cafes for dinner!

Saturday it was all about family, friends, and food! In the morning Eric, Claire, and I hung out in her baby pool. It was perfect out. We all just sat in her pool, talking and watching Claire play! We then spent the whole afternoon with Eric's family. His sister, husband, and kiddos were in town from Michigan. Claire loves kids, so it was cute to watch her interact with Elijah (3) and Natalie (1). Later in the afternoon our good friends and their son came over to hang out at Eric's parents. We let the kiddos play, had a yummy cook out, and then we got some much needed DQ ice cream! Gotta love Blizzards! It was a perfect ending to a great day!

Sunday was also very busy! We had are favorite photographer take some family pictures. It is very rare that all of Eric's brothers and sisters are home at the same time. Since they all were, we took the opportunity to snag a picture of the whole family. 2 memory cards and 3 hours later, we finished all the pictures. We had a great time! After pictures we drove over to my parents house to have a little pool party. Eric's whole family came over and enjoyed the 80 degree water! It was so much fun! All the kids LOVED the water!

Monday was the crappiest weather day of the three. It started out nice, sunny and warm. We made it to the outlet mall, which has sidewalk sales over Memorial Day. Gotta love extra savings. We had only been there maybe 20 minutes when the storm started. Luckily, we made it to Old Navy before the down pour begun. It was raining so hard, it looked like a water fall coming off the buildings. We waited in Old Navy for almost 45 minutes until the rain died down enough. We found our friends who were soaked. We hit a few more stores, found Claire's first birthday dress and then headed back to their place for a indoor BBQ. The kids played, we got ice cream, and we watched a horrible scary movie. All in all, we had a blast.

Here are some pictures from the weekend:
