Two More to Add to The List

I was nominated for two, yes two blog awards from Natalie at

The 13 blogs I nominate are:

13. To a T

Just so you know, I love all of your blogs!

It Was Bound to Happen

Well, our Bug has her very first cold. Boo. I really thought we could escape the whole first year sickness but I guess not. It's really not that bad, she has a little stuffy and sometimes runny nose and a slight cough that comes and goes. She's in a great mood, she's playing and eating fine. She has been sleeping a little longer at night and during her naps but that's okay with me. Sleep is good for her and will help her get better faster. I have also been trying to breastfeed her every couple hours so she stays hydrated and will get my immunities in order to beat this little "bug".  We have a vaporizer set up in her room, so at night the air can stay moist. That helps with eliminating a stuffy nose. She is also sleeping propped up. I have also taken her into the bathroom with the shower running (for steam) twice today and almost instantly her nose starts to runny! So we are doing everything we can do keep her happy and comfy. Now let's just hope she can get over this cold quickly!

She Needs Me

Claire has started to do the cutest thing (well, at least in my mind.) After her 6am feeding, I let her sleep in bed with me until we are ready to get up and start our day. Well, lately when she is trying to go to back to sleep, she will roll on to her side (which is now how she prefers to sleep) and she will rub my face. She will play with my eyebrows, my nose, cheeks, lips, and neck all while her eyes are closed. This morning, I put her down and we were a little further apart then normal, so she scooted her self closer to me, so she could make sure she could reach my face. Sometimes she will scare me because she will start rubbing my face while she is sound asleep. As soon as I feel her little fingers, I will open my eyes, only to be surprised that she is snoring away, unaware of what she is doing.

I really like the thought that my baby girl needs me (and only me) to relax, it really makes me feel special! Speaking of the only one - I am also the only one that she will give "kisses" to. Her kisses are so cute too. She will grab your face or hair to bring your face closer to hers and then she will "latch" on, she is literally "sucking face"! I love playing the kissing game with her. I will kiss her cheeks really fast and then she will kiss me - we seriously can play this game for a good 5 minutes! I love it!

I love to feel the love from my daughter! It makes me day!

Two "Teefers"

Two middle bottom teefers!

A Little Bug Update

Claire loves to pull herself up to a standing position and to play on her knees!

Claire is scooting back and side to side and is also really trying to crawl!

Claire loves playing with all of her toys! She plays SO good by herself!

Claire actually has a daytime nap schedule! Here she was suppose to be napping!

Claire is continuously teething! Her bottom two teeth are in!

Claire is also taking up a storm! She has started wearing all  6-9 months clothes! She loves to interact with other babies and kids! She has started stage 2 foods and so far to date (knock on wood) loves all of her food  she has tried!  Next week, when she hits the 8 month mark, she will start meats. She is also learning to eat with her hands. Finger foods are still a little tricky for Claire but she loves to eat the Gerber wagon wheels - she's become a real pro at eating them all by herself. She also loves the Gerber sweet potato puffs. She can pick them up but doesn't yet put them in her mouth. She absolutely loves her dogs - Penny and Lucy. They make her laugh all the time! It's so cute to watch! We have successfully been cloth diapering for 3 months. We love them and they have saved us so much money! Claire is changing and growing every day. We are enjoying every single moment but looking forward to what will happen next!
