Warning!!

The stomach bug has hit our home....no one was safe. Being miserable and trying to take care of a 17 month old is nearly impossible! Eric and I are feeling a little better today.I finally have been able to drink something and eat a tiny bit. Claire is on her way up too (although she did have a 2 puke episodes this morning) but she wanted food and water after so I'm hoping the stomach bug is about to leave our home for good. I Lysoled my whole house this morning, I hope it will help! I just want us all finally normal by Thursday. Thursday is my dad's birthday we have reservations to have dinner at PF Changs! Plus Christmas is creeping up on us and I still have tons to do!!

I just wanted to say, "I freaking HATE, hate colds!"

Dear Cold Bug,

Thank you for so kindly not letting me or Claire escape this winter without catching something. You've invaded our bodies for the past 3 days so your time is up - get out! PLEASE, you don't know how hard it is to take care of your baby (that's sick) when you are sick yourself! It sucks!

It Was Bound to Happen

Well, our Bug has her very first cold. Boo. I really thought we could escape the whole first year sickness but I guess not. It's really not that bad, she has a little stuffy and sometimes runny nose and a slight cough that comes and goes. She's in a great mood, she's playing and eating fine. She has been sleeping a little longer at night and during her naps but that's okay with me. Sleep is good for her and will help her get better faster. I have also been trying to breastfeed her every couple hours so she stays hydrated and will get my immunities in order to beat this little "bug".  We have a vaporizer set up in her room, so at night the air can stay moist. That helps with eliminating a stuffy nose. She is also sleeping propped up. I have also taken her into the bathroom with the shower running (for steam) twice today and almost instantly her nose starts to runny! So we are doing everything we can do keep her happy and comfy. Now let's just hope she can get over this cold quickly!

Computer Virus

Our computer is sick. That is way I haven't posted for the last few days. As soon as we get it back, I will try to get back on track! Thanks!

Sick Day

The past couple of days, I have been "out sick". It has been so hard not to be a mommy but I really don't want Claire to get what I have. I'm pretty sure I have a "stomach bug". I feel so ichy and just plain blah. Every time I sit or stand up, I feel extremely nausea and dizzy. I have continued to breastfeed but boy is that hard when you feel like "poo" every time you have to sit straight for 5 to 10 minutes. I have been keeping my distance from Claire. I only hold her for feeding. It's hard to hear her cry and know I can't help her but I really don't want to pass this bug on to her. I don't want her to experience what I am.

Now, you may be wondering..."Who is taking care of Claire, while you are down for the count?"

That would be my AMAZINGLY caring, loving hubby. He took all day off yesterday to tend to me and take care of Claire. Today, he went in for a meeting and got home around 10:00am. I don't know what I would do without him because of him I was able to take two sick days! I love him so much, he is truly the best!!
